Light-matter interaction of molecules in nanoscale templates (spectroscopy and preparation - focus on optical experiments)

Two-dimensional templates with periodic pores and length scales in the nanometer range can be prepared in a self-organized way using electrochemical approaches. Such materials allow investigation and manipulation of light-matter interaction of inserted molecules and their array. In the proposed thesis, arrays based on anodized aluminium and porous silicon will be investigated and optimized with respect to fluorescence dynamics and enhanced Raman scattering cross section.
