ID-SERS based quantification of Biomarkers on a Single Chip

Recent developments show that SERS-spectroscopy can be used for the identification and quantitative determination of bio-molecules even on a primary level. Largely improved results can be expected from optimized periodic nanostructures produced by nanotechnological tools such as e-beam lithography. Even high throughput screening (HTS) devices may be designed. The development of analytical methods based on such structures comprises the engineering and optimisation of suitable structures including coupling mechanisms of organic compounds onto the surfaces for suitable sense-anti-sense reactions.
