The International Summer School of Metrology 2014 took place from 13 to 15 October at Haus Sonnenberg in the Harz Mountains about 70km south of Braunschweig.
The conference brought internationally renowned experts in metrology and the PhD students of the International Graduate School of Metrology together in a workshop atmosphere.
The summer school 2014 focused on novel topics of metrology. This year optical methods like laser radiometry, precision interferometry and spectroscopy were presented. In a special highlight the contributions of Braunschweigs TU research institutes to the Rosetta mission are discussed.
The program was complemented by lectures on methods in metrology, concerning data fusion and security as well as measurement uncertainty determination.
