The Summer School of Metrology 2012 took place from 29 May to 1 June.
19 lecturers from four countries presented their work at Burg Warberg.
The conference brought internationally renowned experts in metrology and the PhD students of the International Graduate School of Metrology together in a workshop atmosphere.
The Summer School 2012 focused on Nanometrology, 3D Metrology and Ultrafast Metrology. In addition, measurement methods used in different fields of metrology, for example applications in chemistry, biology, medicine and industry, were presented. Student Exercises on the Avogadro Project were also part of the programme. Amongst others, David Citrin, Sarah Köster, Dirk Röske, Bernd Stoffregen, Richard Leach and Klaus von Klitzing gave a presentation.
