This year's Summer School of Metrology took place at Burg Warberg in the Elm mountains near Braunschweig.
The programme of the Summer School covered many aspects of metrology. The fundamental methodology of measurement uncertainty in accordance with the "Guide to the Uncertainty of Measurement" was presented on an introductory level, including student exercises. The lectures highlighted measurement techniques in various fields of metrology, such as applications in medicine, quantum computing / quantum metrology and satellite gravitational gradiometry.
The conference brought internationally renowned experts in metrology and the PhD students of the International Graduate School of Metrology together in a workshop atmosphere. For many fruitful discussions in addition to the Summer School programme (use this link to get detailed up-to-date information), scientific guests were also welcome to participate.
