The 2017 Summer School "Frontiers of the Measurable" is open to interested young academics from all over the world.
We have again invited renowned researchers to give presentations about metrology-related topics and discuss them with the participants. As special highlight Nobel prize laureate Stefan Hell will present his latest results on super resolution microscopy.
This year the Summer School’s subtopics are: Nanoscale, Energy, Environment and From Earth to Universe. To complement the program there will also be a poster session and exercises.

The Braunschweig International Graduate School of Metrology together with the Technical Cooperation of PTB offer the opportunity for two PhD scholarships in 2017 for students engaged in natural sciences or engineering. The funding is provided by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) to support developing and emerging countries (please see full list of partner countries) in the field of quality infrastructure.
